_Breaking down the Eastern conference

Eastern Conference season is only weeks away in teams finishing up their contract extensions and trades we can now see what each team looks like and give a rough estimate on where they rank within the Eastern conference of the NBA.

With the 15 teams of the Eastern conference finalizing their player affairs and getting ready for opening night, we can give our estimate of the top eight teams that will be entering the playoffs and ultimately winning the championship.

Will start with the bottom five from last year‘s NBA season since this upcoming season has not started yet. Detroit, Orlando, Cleveland, Toronto and Chicago. These bottom five teams had the worst record in the Eastern conference however within this off-season made some notable changes especially Chicago with its addition of Lonzo ball and DeMar DeRozan.

Nonetheless Detroit got their first round draft pick and well Toronto and Orlando didn’t make too many major moves and seemingly kept the same team that they started with.

Next we have Charlotte, Indiana, Washington, Boston and Miami. Charlotte and Indian essentially kept the same team while adding a few new role players. Washington made some notable additions with Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Spencer Dinwiddie, for a more all-around team than it had last year with Russell Westbrook

. Boston also added role players in depth to their roster however Miami considerably upgraded their roster by adding Kyle Lowry which gave them a great floor general for Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Last season big hitters

Next we have our playoff runners, that being Atlanta, New York, Milwaukee, Brooklyn and Philadelphia. Since these teams are playoff runners and the powerhouse is in the Eastern conference more or less they didn’t add any notable pieces.

However they added considerable depth and role players for their team especially for playoff time. Brooklyn being the powerhouse of today added Patty Mills, Lamarcus Aldridge and Paul Millsap giving them even more considerable depth.

Future 8 playoff teams

With these teams now we can for the most part see the eight playoff teams being Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Miami, Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Boston. These eight teams statistically have the best chance of getting into the playoffs and winning the championship because of the pieces that they have the chemistry they possess while also having a great coaching staff and considerable talent on their teams.
