The Cavaliers have put together a great balanced roster. It can be argued that their starting lineup might be the best in the NBA.
A recent trade for All-Star Donovan Mitchell has really helped this team come to life this season. With the addition of Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley, this team has been looking quite good this year.
I believe that this lineup is fully capable of going very deep in this years playoffs.
The Cavaliers are currently 4th in the East and have been playing some of their basketball since the Lebron James days. It’s been very fun to watch this team compete and to see how they matchup against the bigger teams in the East.
Donovan Mitchell
Donovan Mitchell has been looking outstanding. His style of play looks better than his time in Utah, and is more fluid with this current roster of players. Mitchell had one of the craziest scoring nights of the season against the Bulls by scoring 71 points!
His scoring ability is proving that he is one of the best scoring guards in the NBA. Through this season he has also shown great leadership for this young Cavaliers team. Mitchell has adjusted to being in the Eastern Conference quite efficiently and is rising to an even higher level of superstardom.
The Lineup
Darius Garland had emerged as a top guard in the NBA. Garland made his first NBA All-star appearance last year and has been a leading shooter.
Garland’s scoring ability and defensive presence has helped him grow to a higher level in the last few seasons. His partnership with Mitchell makes them one of the best back court partnerships.
Jarrett Allen made his first All-Star appearance last year and is turning into one of the best bigs in the game. The big man duo of Allen and Evan Mobley might be one of the best front court partnerships.
The duo of Allen and Mobley is the reason why many teams will struggle against them. The Cavaliers will have a favorable matchup in the paint against the biggest stars in the East.
Playoff Push?
This team needs to be fully healthy in order to make a big run come playoff time. The Cavaliers will be trouble in a 7 game series to anyone they play.
The Cavaliers have the best backcourt and frontcourt duo with their starting line up. The team chemistry is proving how lethal the Cavaliers are on both the offensive and defensive side of the game.
With all this star power and dynamic playing ability, the Cavaliers are poised to make a big run this year. They will match up well against the 76’ers, Celtics, or Bucks and could cause serious trouble in a series.
I have high hopes for this Cavaliers team to make the Eastern Conference of even Finals this year.
