Within the past 48 hours, there has been a plethora of trade rumors and movement in the NBA. The NBA is a fast pace business and deals happen very quickly it is key to keep an eye on updates and current events, such as Kevin Durant requests a trade from the Brooklyn nets. What does this mean for the league?

Kevin Durant signed a 4-year/$198m extension with the nets back in August 2021. Recently Durant requests a trade from the Brooklyn Nets and the Nets will honor the request and find a suitor for Durant. Historically the West during the conference has been the better conference for the past several years and if Kevin Durant finds his way to the West Coast this pattern may seem to continue. As Durant requests a trade, the Phoenix Suns have an opportunity to land a superstar but may have to sacrifice greatly but I believe this is a possible destination for Kevin.

The Boston Celtics made it to the NBA finals last season and maybe we can see a repeat of history and see Kevin go to the Boston Celtics and try to claim a title. can we possibly see a team-up of the top two players to ever play the game LeBron James and Kevin Durant in Los Angeles?

These rumor after Durant requests a trade have been spreading and may turn into a reality. Damian Lillard a Nurkic took to social media to advertise their interest in Kevin Durant by re-posting a picture of him in a Portland jersey. It is understandable why many players in the NBA will try to acquire Kevin Durant as he is one of the greatest players to play the game.

There is also fear that the next team to trade for him, will have to deal with the fact that Durant requests a trade from most places he has been.

I’m curious about what a league would look like with Kevin and Lebron on the same team these two players have been at the top of the NBA for years and I’m excited to see what a team-up with these two legends of the game will look like.

In my honest opinion, Kevin Durant‘s legacy is not predicated on whether he links up with LeBron in the loss with the Los Angeles Lakers but whether he’s able to secure as many more championships as he can before his career is over.
