What the Kevin Durant Trade Means for the Phoenix Suns

While you were sleeping, a monster trade was made in the NBA. ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant was being traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder Plus 4 first round picks and a 2028 pick swap with Durant and TJ Warren.

Production: what more is there to say about Kevin Durant? There’s a reason why he’s called the easy money sniper. He produces valuable minutes in any franchise he has been a part of. He is considered by many to have what is called the “ clutch gene” as he has been able to be the hero in end of game situations multiple times throughout his career.

Big Three

Let’s face it, there’s no way that the trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Chris Paul does not get some heads turning when it comes to big threes in the NBA. I believe that with their player acumen and experience in the playoffs, it will be a bright future in Phoenix for years to come.

Championship Experience

I saved the last obvious facet for my last point. Kevin Durant has championship experience. He is a two-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors. I believe with this experience he can help Devin Booker and Chris Paul as well as the rest of the team with how to prepare and how to be disciplined to be able to truly be a championship team.
