The Golden State Warriors have lost their way in the past few weeks losing six of their ten games pushing them back to ninth place in the Western Conference. Andrew Wiggins has averaged a measly 13 points in the last five games.
The Warriors need to start making moves as the 2021 Trade Deadline is approaching. The Warriors need to surround all-star, Stephen Curry with scorers who can make shots efficiently.
The Warriors are not playing with the spark that we have seen in the past years proving there is something wrong with the team this season. Let’s take a look 3 players the Warriors should pursue before the 2021 Trade Deadline.
Warriors Trade Rumors: Victor Oladipo
Number 1 on our list is Rockets shooting guard Victor Oladipo who the Warriors have already been pursuing. Former Indiana Pacer Oladipo was sent to the Rockets in a four-team trade that involved James Harden.
In 25 games this season Oladipo has averaged 20.1 points, 4.7 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. He would add great skill to the Warriors backcourt and could produce points when the Warriors are missing shots.
Golden State has the draft capital to sign Oladipo or they could get rid of Wiggins for him which wouldn’t be a bad thing. Oladipo is in the last year of his contract and do not expect the Rockets to perform well for the rest of the season meaning Victor will most likely be done with the Rockets.
Warriors Trade Rumors: Buddy Hield
Second, on the list is Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield. Buddy and the Kings have no shot of making the playoffs this season. Hield is a great player for the Warriors to pick up because he brings his three-point shooting skills to the team.
The three-point line has been make or break for the Warriors this season. Buddy was a top ten pick when he was drafted and has shown he is an elite shooter from long range. In the last several season’s Buddy has averaged three deep balls per game.
The Kings should have no problem letting Buddy go if the Warriors give them a good deal like a future first-round pick or Andrew Wiggins. This season Buddy has averaged 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
He is also shooting 38.6% from the field. Hield could be Klay Thompson’s replacement for the season and help the Warriors get into the playoffs this season.
Warriors Trade Rumors: PJ Tucker
Last on our list is PJ Tucker. The Rockets have talked about moving around a bunch of players but have not really acted on their words but PJ Tucker has a very high chance of being moved this season.
Where he will be sent is a mystery to all of us. Tucker wants to be sent to a team that actually has a shot at the title. Tucker is known for his 3’s and D since he is able to defend the opposing team’s best player and then can knock down the three-pointer from his hot spot on the court.
Tucker could help the Warriors space the floor and take off some of the pressure from Curry to knock down shots. Tucker wouldn’t cost the Warriors much and would be a great asset for Golden State.
